Are You Absolutely Certain that God Exists?

A Harris Poll of 2,010 U.S. adults in October 2006 found that 42 percent said they are not “absolutely certain” that God exists. Three years ago it was 34 percent (www.breitbart.com, Oct. 31, 2006). In three more years will it be 50 percent?

Among religious groups who are “absolutely certain” that God exists: 76 percent of all Protestants, 93 percent of “born again” evangelicals, and only 64 percent of Catholics.
